Last Friday 25th of August 2023, the Alliance for Community Action (ACA) hosted the launch of its 2022 – 2026 Strategic Development Plan at our offices in PHI. Speaking to government officials, CSOs, donors, media and members of the public the ACA reaffirmed its mission of “strengthening the demand and supply for public resource accountability in Zambia with emphasis on instituting that demand in the general public“.
In the 2022 – 2026 Strategic Plan, the ACA aims to shift towards a rural rural strategy, to reach marginalised citizens who live off the national grid of power and network. The ACA will in this strategy also target young learners to inculcate a spirit of demanding accountability in a generation of young Zambians.
Our vision is to be a key player in the creation of a Zambia where all citizens have an equitable share of the country’s abundant resources. We believe that this can be achieved through a combination of strong institutions, empowered citizens, and accountable leaders.
But we cannot tread this path alone. We seek your support, for together, our efforts can surge like a tide of change, breaking down barriers, and illuminating the path ahead. With your assistance, we will retain our expert staff, empower a new generation of changemakers, extend our reach to the remotest of areas, and establish a steadfast physical presence through our own office.
